I guess the longer I go without posting on this, the more I want to put it off. But, might as well give a little update since it's the end of spring break.
Winter quarter was probably my toughest, busiest quarter since college started. I took 25 credit hours, plus teaching lessons in Grove City on Tuesday nights, along with Musical rehearsals  3 nights a week. I had a 7:30am class everyday too....joy. I hope I never have to do that again. Somehow I pulled through this quarter along with 7 finals last week. And....I came out with a 3.74 for the quarter! My goal is always a 3.7 and I was really happy I pushed through all those classes....I'm still alive. yea!
Break has been great. I spent a lot of time working at Red Robin, so no complaints about making money there. I went up to Ashland University on Sunday-Monday to spend some time with Abby and follow her to all her classes. It was great to spend some time with her, plus see what private colleges classes are like. Definitely an experience. I also spent some time with Dan, since I rarely ever see him during the quarter. We cooked dinner together for my family at my house on Tuesday. It was amazing! My sister even joined in the fun. She loves Dan a lot and it makes me so happy when they get together and treat each other like brother and sister. Parents like Dan a lot as well, which is wonderful. Life is just treating me really well right now. Whenever I have good relationships with my parents, sister, friends, and of course my boyfriend, nothing else really matters. Sure, I worry about school and occasionally stress out, but it's relationships that keep me going. I don't know what I'd do without the people in my life right now.
Hope everyone is doing well. There are definitely some people I haven't seen since late summer that I miss a lot. This was also the first time I didn't go into the high school during my break to visit teachers and what not. Does that mean I don't care anymore or that I'm growing up? I'm not sure. High school is starting to seem so far away now, which is sad but exciting all at the same time. I finally know that my college degree is achievable and I'm so caught up in working towards that right now that I rarely reflect on high school anymore. I feel like I'm getting older faster too. 21 in a little less that 5 months. wow Where does the time go?
But..."Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional."

  • These past 10 days were pretty awesome. I visited Dan in Hudson (twice) and he visited me in Grove City! It was so nice to stay at each other's houses and visit with family. This morning was the last time I'll see him till Jan 2, which was sad but is nice because "Absense makes the heart grow fonder" We exchanged presents at his house last night and he gave me personalized, pink and white golf shoes!! (adorable) pink golf balls, a pink and white golf glove, and blue "snappy" sweat pants!! Too much golf stuff you say?? no way!  I have ALWAYS wanted golf shoes since I started taking golf lessons at age 8! Maybe my game will improve with my new stuff!! lol Needless to say...I was excited! I gave him personalized golf balls that say: "I-dotter, 11-18-06, The Game" a National Championship shirt and a big picture frame with nine different pics of us in it. I'm not sure if  he or his mom liked it better. haha
Today I had Christmas with Abby and her family at China Bell! sooo much fun. I love when we can all get together and just laugh. Christmas fun was had by all!
I'm really loving Christmas season this year. I worked  and made lots of money at Red Robin this week,  vistied with some old and new friends, spent time with family, and just got in the holiday spirit. It doesn't hurt that I have a wonderful boyfriend too. (if you haven't heard me talk about him enough already...woops)
Hope everyone has an ahhmazing Christmas! It only comes once a year....so enjoy it. You never know, you might miss times like these a few years from now. Love to all......

  •    Wow. So much has happened since I last updated. I guess you know I was workin hard when I don't even pay attention xanga for a month and a half! woops. It was worth it though. Just finished out fall quarter with a 3.72. I'm eventually aiming for a 3.9 as my cummilative when I graduate (Suma Cum Laude) which will definitely be a challenge, but very possible. But, school is over for the next three weeks and I'm so happy!!!!
Maybe the reason I've been so happy lately, and frankly, just overall giddy for the past two months is because of this guy: Dan Wanders.   We went on our first date the first week of October and ever since then we have developed an amazing relationship. Yeah thats right.....Holly has a boyfriend. (if you didn't already know) We've "officially" been together for about 6 weeks now. He is amazing. And of course, he's in the marching band. (why would Holly date someone not in band?) haha I won't go on and on about him, cause I'm sure you don't want to hear everything on here. But if you want to know more....just ask...I'm sure I could go on about him for a while.
Life has been great this quarter. I finally have figured out who I am as a person and can really look towards the future of who I want to become. I went back to GC high school yesterday for a ceremony and saw George Edge win 2007 Teacher of the year and thought....wow a Music Educator winning this??? This is not only a great day Mr. Edge, Grove City and South-western city schools...this is a huge day for Music Educators. It was nice to finally see him get recognized state-wide!! Governor Taft was there....woah! Seeing all that happen made me realize that being a music educator is not only rewarding, but a constant learning experience. I couldn't imagine being in another perfession. I love teaching so far and I'm really looking forward to starting my career in just 2 1/2 years! (hopefully) Although college is an amazing experience....I'm enojying it while I can. Making the marching band was the best thing that ever happened to me at OSU. National Champioinship....here we come!!!
~Promise I'll update more this break~ (all for now)

Isn't it funny how you think some particular day is gonna be the worst day ever and then it turns out to be pretty awesome? Yeah....I'm thinkin my best friends (and brennens) change that. I don't know what I'd do without you.....and you know who you are. This weekend was great (whooo Halloween idot!)  and Monday didn't actually turn out to be all that bad. ummm p.s. Hanging out with BFs from home and from OSU = the best feeling in the entire world!
